‘Bauhaus Disco’ Designer Pillows

Stephanie Symns is an New Zealand-born textile designer who has made Vancouver, British Columbia, her home. She delights in creating bold, modern textile products by drawing from visuals found in the modern urban environment, and this was the genesis of the ARTIFACT collection. The designer pillows in the ARTIFACT series are drawn from original photographs of small details in Stephanie’s local environment. On Main Street in Chinatown, there has been rapid urban development driven by the continued popularity of Vancouver as a lifestyle city. Stephanie was inspired by the unintentional collages created by posters plastered over every temporary wall erected to screen the massive construction sites lining our streets. As these posters are written on, torn and pasted they form complex multi-layer forms, resulting in the visual inspiration for these exciting contemporary designs.

  • These designer pillows measure 20 x 20 inches square
  • Front: super velvety-soft polyester… a little haptic happiness
  • Back & piping detail: 12oz charcoal cotton twill
  • Concealed zipper
  • Tapered corners so your pillow looks optically square on your couch
  • Care: machine wash, line or tumble dry on low
  • Please note price is for cover only
